Project: AOAOCategory: Branding, Digital, PrintYear: 2023
AOAO, a resin-art driven Japanese restaurant and bar, is located in the heart of Hong Kong’s concrete jungles. AOAO is named after the Japanese term for lush green. The brand strategy has centred around the multiple shades of green found in a raw gemstone.
The identity is rooted in a typographically carved stone as the brand symbol, with each of its faces crafted in the characters ‘AOAO’ and featured an open window to reveal the hidden green world. Through a graphical transformation, the brand stone evolves into the logo with a series of stone graphics and green resin patterns. This unique system is adaptable and widely applied across the brand.

Project: Big C ChartersCategory: BrandingYear: 2022
Big C Charters is the premier charter service in the San Francisco Bay Area offering hands-on fishing trips and excursions. Founded by 6’8″ former professional basketball player Christian Cavanaugh, Big C gets its name from the big man himself and his local reputation for the biggest catches.
The name Big C Charters presented an opportunity to create an iconic logo — an unforgettably tall, hooked ‘C’. The resulting visual identity consisted of a new logo, hi-vis color palette inspired by the pop of colors found aboard, a bespoke display typeface, reportage style photography and brand collateral.

Project: PolyU School of Fashion & TextilesCategory: BrandingYear: 2023
School of Fashion & Textiles is the transformation of PolyU’s 65-year-old Institute of Textiles and Clothing into a new fashion school of the future. Focused on an interdisciplinary approach to education—combining design, business and technology, SFT aims to pave the pathway to the future of fashion & textiles education.
The brand identity uses the concept of intertwined lines representing twisted strands to create a thread, communicating the idea of SFT’s interdisciplinary and collaborative nature. A cross-section of this thread becomes the symbol for SFT, and it adorns with a myriad of different textiles and materials that reflect the diversity of fashion and the multiple disciplines, paths and possibilities that SFT has to offer.

Project: Gender & SpaceCategory: Exhibition, Environments, Web DesignYear: 2022
Gender & Space is a heritage exhibition curated by Tai Kwun – Centre for Heritage and Arts, exploring the stories and experiences of underrepresented women in the gendered spaces of the Central Police Station and society.
The exhibition aims to shed light on women who were often overlooked in history. This core concept is reinforced in the exhibition identity, with typography laid on top of photographs of women from history, intentionally obscuring their faces from view. Whilst the stories of the exhibition are from over a hundred years ago, the design of the exhibition approaches the content with a modern lens—bringing these stories into the contemporary conversation.
